About El Querandi Tango Show:
El Querandi Tango show, dressed in the finest ebony and founded in 1867, is a remarkable bar in San Telmo that offers one of the most romantic and Tango shows in Buenos Aires. This old Tango House has been working as a bar since 1920 and has preserved its fine carved ebony lining and its bar which is one of the most beautiful in the city. The Tango Show house had the nice taste of set little lightboxes on the tables and the result is a cozy romantic enviroment.
Located in San Telmo neighborhood, this place is also an important restaurant, so it can offer the most diverse menu. El Querandi Tango show also has an important boutique wine cellar so even in the standard ticket you can enjoy premium wines. The place has an L-shaped structure with the stage in the center, which greatly shortens the distances between artists and public and in addition several numbers are made on the traditional bar, with a display of sensuality at inches of the spectators, you can smell their perfume and listen the "wisper" of their costumes.
About the Tango Show: The show describes the evolution of Tango from the brothels age where it was born until the current times. The style danced at El Querandi is combining the classic and traditional steps of Tango to the floor with the choreography of stage Tango. To validate the quality of what is seen, this is where the 2016 World Champion Tango couple, who was also runner-up in 2015, dances. You will see them dancing very close to you, on stage and over the vertiginous bar. The musical support is provided by a live quartet who prefers to play the Tangos with pure classical style, well marked and with a perfect complement between counterbass and piano (Those who knows, use to say that the friendship between both instruments is the soul of every quartet of Tango) The connection and enjoyment of both musicians could be easily appreciated. El Querandi Tango show offers three singers, -Is the only Tango show doing this- and the oldest man with its volume of voice and its broad stage management, is able to give complete stanzas "a capella" and snatch the audience ovation.
The gastronomic proposal of El Querandí dinner show is to offer a menu that shows different dishes typical of the Argentinean regions which added to the capacity of its cuisine delivers an unbeatable the gastronomic diversity. Everything will be very well accompanied by the boutique wines of its wine cellar . Among the dishes we recommend the empanadas, antipasto, steak of chorizo, bondiola a la cuyana (pork), sorrentinos –big raviolis- of black pudding, homemade custard and chocotorta (chococake, a local cake of our childhood).
